About the Class
The old idea of a homogeneous class has left us for ever. The actual classroom experience proves that the assumption of uniformity is false; it is a fiction that had been based on a single way of considering the learner. If students do not all learn at the same time, in the same way and with the same objectives, what has become of our classes? Mixed ability classes are here to stay. How do we cope with mixed ability groups? How do we adopt, adapt and exploit classroom materials to cater for different learning styles, degrees of motivation and learning difficulties?
