About the Class

This class will provide an overview of the role of manager. It is ideal for people who are being promoted to, or are considering moving into, a management role for the first time. A recent survey indicates that greater than 50% of people who move into a management role have a solid understanding the job. We will examine the definition and perspectives on management, the basic functions of management, review a sample job description and basic law associated with managing people.
