This class will teach educators how to design an effective ESL program. The focus is on curriculum. Areas to be discussed include:
- What is the core curriculum for secondary/college level ESL instruction?
- What are ESL goals and objectives? What are the primary levels of instruction?
- You will be provided with research based detailed and easy to follow multilevel level ESL curriculum guides.
- We will discuss a basis for an ESL approach in curriculum development.
- We will review educational research based on some of the most authentic and effective ESL methodologies.
- You will leave with concrete guidelines for establishing an effective ESL program.
