About the Class:
Advanced Placement Spanish Language (AP Spanish Language or AP Spanish or Spanish 5 AP) is a course and examination offered by the College Board as part of the Advanced Placement Program. This course builds upon the skills developed in introductory and intermediate Spanish classes. This course applies each skill to a specific [and most of the times contemporary] context like health, education, careers, literature, history, family, relationships, and environment. Students concentrate on developing high level of proficiency in speaking, writing and reading in preparation for the AP Spanish Language examination. In addition, this course emphasizes mastery of linguistic competencies. As such, AP Spanish Course is one of the hardest Language Courses. Further, like all Language Courses, this course can also be very fluid in syllabus with different teachers testing different aspects more or less, depending on their pedagogy. However, this is also one of the most rewarding courses as the concentration in reading, speaking and writing and cultural nuances are lifelong lessons that can be called to action at any time in one’s life. Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world and in ones career, one would definitely encounter at some stage or other, a need for Spanish Language. In this session, Nancy would tell you the following: 1. Why you should take the AP Spanish Course? 2. Important Dates to keep in mind 3. How to prepare for AP Spanish Course
