Professional Experience
Medical Transcriptionist
NEA Dermatology Clinic, P.A., Arkansas, United States
Apr 1999 - Aug 2001Transcribed medical dictation tapes on an electric typewriter. I could type the entire days' worth of charts in two hours whereas it took a normal typist all day to get the job done. People would just look through the window and watch how fast I could type because they said it was amazing.
Teacher Intern
Westside High School, Arkansas, United States
Jan 2001 - May 2001As a student teacher intern, I learned so much. Pam Higginbottom was my classroom supervisor and mentor. I'm so glad I had the privilege of working with her.
Cafeteria Plan (Section 125) Administration Specialist
Express Human Resources/Employee Benefit Specialists, Arkansas, United States
Jan 1997 - Jun 1998I moved up the ladder very fast at this corporation. I started out auditing 401(k) plans to make sure their pension funds had the proper employer matching amounts. The President of the company then asked me to transfer millions of dollars from Federated Investors to MFS. After successfully accomplishing this task, the President promoted me to administrating the cafeteria plan for the hundreds of companies we served as third party administrator.
Administrative Secretary to CEO
Heifer International, Arkansas, United States
May 1996 - Nov 1996Worked for Jo Luck, CEO of Heifer International, and it was an amazing opportunity. I met the Ambassador to Tanzania, Brady Anderson, talked on the phone with the richest woman in the world at the time who had been on the cover of Forbes magazine, Nina Wang from Hong Kong, and also spoke to Ed Asner on the phone. I would accompany potential donors to the Heifer Ranch and make travel arrangements and itineraries for Jo Luck, prepare for board meetings, and even select the menu for meetings.
