About Keren Fitzgerald

I have been teaching in the adult learning sector for 3 years.

I have been a passionate cook all my life and a career change enabled me to re-train to teach and to pass on my knowledge and passion.

I have appeared on Masterchef and have taken part in a number of other similar cookery competitions including being the regional finalist to produce a dish for a UK national chain of pubs.

I have taught all aspects of cookery to all levels.

I believe in using simple, accessible and affordable ingredients to produce tasty meals for all the family.

I feel that keeping the ingredients simple make for the best meals and starting with a simple 'kit' of items is the ideal basis for a range of dishes.

I have always been a strong advocate of using regional and seasonal ingredients where possible and would one day like to have some kind of cookery school or delicatessen with cookery school attached.

Everybody can cook, absolutely everybody. There is no need to fear cookery, as the most delicious food can be created from the simplest ingredients.
