Julie Thompson has been teaching for a long time, ever since she starting teaching piano to young people while doing volunteer work in Iowa. She's been teaching languages since 1987, first in the traditional blackboard style. Later on, she learned techniques used by TESOL instructors, and has incorporated them into her own custom teaching plan. She has taught individual classes, and classes of up to thirty students, from all walks of life. Over the years, in her volunteer work in Ecuador, South America, she has helped over 120 forieign volunteers tolearn Spanish, and over 50 Ecuadorian and foreign volunteer workers to learn Quichua.
