DEVELOPMENT OF A LOGIC AND ALGORITMS SUBJECT WITH AGRO-ECOLOGICAL APPROACH IN THE AMAZONIA UNIVERSITY
Abstract
This paper discusses the design, development, progress and results obtained from the implementation of a proposed subject of Logic and Algorithms for Agroecological Engineering students in the Amazonia University, mainly based on two pedagogical approaches: (1) Meaningful Learning Theory - MLT, and (2) Project Based Learning - PBL. Once the pedagogical model to be used was defined, and fully framed in the regional geographic context from which students have information and somehow prior interaction; in this case: The national and continental Amazonia, environmental problems were identified, especially those whose students would have some contact or involvement, making possible the identification of different variables involved in the problem, which were related through mathematical models in software applications designed by the students, helping them to measure the caused or mitigated environmental impact.
