I wanted to teach film. I started the first independent film school in Africa and eventually merged this with a local university.
To mention a few of my students achievements ( I merely pointed each of them in the right direction):
One became a TV journalist and reported the first of the Somali Pirate attacks for CNN;
One became an award winning feature film editor in LA;
One directed a feature film for Warner Bros;
One heeded my advice and did NOT give up maths in grade 9. He now holds a MSc in Maths and heads up the Maths Department i in a UK high school;
One started a very successful feature film production house in South Africa. This company produces at least four feature films a year.

Jan 2005 - Dec 2008I re-designed the program to comply with the university requirements and led the internal and external accreditation process.
The internal accreditation process was completed well within the time constraints and was held as a model accreditation process by the university's quality management team.
The external accreditation was equally smooth.
