This series of tests ensures that your system meets the basic technical and Internet
connection requirements to successfully
run a WiZiQ class. If a test fails, you may follow the measures suggested in the
test summary to resolve the issues.
System Configuration Tests
This test checks the system compatibility for the latest flash player, Browser,
Operating System, Memory, and Screen Resolution requirements to enter a live class
on WiZiQ.

System Tests for Screen Sharing
This test checks the system for availability/working of Java and web browser required for the updated Screen Sharing feature in the Virtual Classroom.
System Requirements for Screen Sharing
Java's JRE version 1.6
Java is enabled in your browser.
One of these browsers: Internet Explorer 6 or above and Firefox 3.5.0 or above on Windows OS , and Safari 4.0 on MAC

Speaker Test
The test allows you to test speakers for the Virtual Classroom.
Microphone Test
The test automatically detects and selects the preferred audio device
Video Test
This test enables you to test compatibility of your video device with the Virtual
Classroom. The device selected here is automatically configured for your live class.
How can I reduce echo in the class?
- A USB headset is recommended. External or built-in speakers or webcams with
microphone can pick up additional noise and can cause echo.
- WiZiQ automatically adjusts audio. We recommend you keep this option checked.
(You see this option in microphone test).
- If echo is suspected from an attendee, ask the attendee to lower his or her
speaker volume.
- Uncheck Microphone Boost option. See more in WiZiQ Help.
Can’t hear properly or there is a lag/dropped words in the voice or jerky video?
- Lag or dropped words in the voice happen due to slow Internet connection or
due to high CPU usage.
- Check bandwidth and Internet connection test listed above.
- Close a few or all applications that you don’t require in the class to free
system memory.
No one can hear me?
- Test your microphone in audio tests; make sure your mic is plugged in and
is working.
- Check your microphone is not muted.
- If a particular attendee is not able to hear you, ask him or her to check
speakers volume.
- If you are an attendee, make sure that the presenter has allowed you mic.
