What is 'My Content'?
"My Content" is a kind of repository where you can store your stuff like PDF, presentations, documents, excel spreadsheets and flash files that you share with others in your online sessions.

How does 'My Content' act as content repository?
You can safely store your presentations, documents and flash files in 'My Content'. You need to upload your files just once and can share and reuse them in your online sessions. You can choose to keep it private and also available in all your online sessions.

What type of files can I upload in 'My Content'?
You can upload PowerPoint files (ppt), PowerPoint shows (pps), PDF, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets and Flash files (swf) in My Content.

I tried uploading a presentation but it failed. What do I do now?
Confirm that the file does not exceed the allowed size i.e. 10 mb for PowerPoint, Flash files and 3 mb for PDF files. In such case, reduce the size of the file to the allowed limit and then try.

How do I upload a file in My Content?
To upload a file, go to Content tab. Click on Upload New Content link to open the Presentations or Documents list pages.

On 'Upload Content' page, select the file and enter the details: Title, Description, Tags and Language.

Click Upload button to finish the upload process.

A document or a flash file gets listed under Documents link; PowerPoint files and PowerPoint shows get listed under Presentations link.

What do tags serve while uploading a file?
Tags let the system categorize your file for that keyword. So next time you or someone else searches content on WiZiQ with that keyword, the member is able to locate that file.

How can I access my uploaded presentation in my Virtual Classroom?

Launch your online session. In the virtual classroom; access the Content tab. Then click on 'Load Content' button.

Content manager window opens up with two folders 'Public Content' and 'Your Content' in the left side pane.

Expand 'Your Content' folder. All your uploaded content is available in this folder.

Click on 'Add to Session' button to share the file in the session. It takes a few seconds for the file to get loaded. A confirmation message "file uploaded successfully" appears.

In the drop down (right to Load Content button), select the file and use it as and when required.

I uploaded a file but it is not available in the virtual classroom.
Uploaded files undergo processing to make it available in virtual classroom. The processing time may vary from a few seconds to a few hours. If a file fails processing it's not available in the virtual classroom. A file fails processing if it is read only (not a writable copy) or password protected or uploaded from a slower connection or if the page count exceeds 30 in case of PDF files, or the size exceeds 10 mb in case of PowerPoint or flash files.

Is my uploaded content visible to any other WiZiQ member?
Your content is private if you opt to keep it out of public view while uploading it.
In my content I plan to present a PowerPoint session, embedded in this session will be movies of demonstrations.
Currently we don't support the use of embedded movies, videos and audio files. So you are unable to share them.

I want the copyrights of the content to be in the possession of the content creator, and only selected persons to view my content?
You always hold the option to let your content be public or private. If you are interested to share your content with a few selected persons, you can uncheck the option 'Make it public' while uploading content. Then share content with your contacts. Your uploaded content and your scheduled sessions always remain your intellectual property on WiZiQ.

Is it possible to upload the PowerPoint with audio?
You can upload PowerPoint with recorded narrations or audio. The file can be viewed in the player but audio of such files can not be shared in the virtual classroom.

Is there any way to edit out the parts we don't want and still use the presentation?
Editing a file after its upload is not currently possible. You may first edit the presentation in MS-PowerPoint and then upload it.

How to upload content to WiZiQ?
Use 'Upload New Content' link under Content tab for uploading file types like PowerPoint presentations, PowerPoint shows, Documents, PDFs, Excel Spreadsheets and swf files. The files you upload here are available for use and sharing after they have been successfully processed. Plus you can also directly upload files from your desktop in the virtual classroom.
