We tried this again yesterday, no network issues, and my boss is impressed with the basic layout and funcionality. But what bugs us is that when screensharing you lose the video and chat boxes, unless you have them on top of the screenshare. So is there a way to arrange the screenshare, chat and video to all be visible at once without being one on top of the other?

Is it possible to teach using an android device like my galaxy tablet? I can open the virtual class room but no mic nor video camera are identified by the system. Is that a problem of the flash version? Is there a special android app available? does anyone have any experience?

After further inspection the uneven times appear to be working but in:

The maximum duration for a class is stated as 300 minutes

But in: http://developer.wiziq.com/class/explorer/create

If you specify a duration past 80 the following error returns:

We need to solve this issue as soon as possible

Hello,

I'm trying to create a class using the provided API, but i cant get WizIQ to schedule a class according to my requirements.

First, i cant especify the duration of the class past 80 minutes, for our environment that is a showstopper
Second when we schedule a class and we specify non standard times like 37 minutes, the scheduled class is created with either 30 minutes or 60

Any advice on this issues

I had the same issue and it still exists ....I checked my php.ini nad the allow_url_fopen is on by default and there is something else , I noticed that wiziq is installed once and however I tried whatever I attempted if I delete the plugins directories(in mod and blocks) it doesn't totally removed at all i.e. no upgrade page for wiziq plugins after relocating its folders

I plan on having 4 free available tutorials for: Numbers, Colors, Verbs, and Prepositions.

I understand that you don't want to update regularly, but I signed up in January. No one asked me for a 1st tutorial. So, it has been 4 months.

Maybe Wiziq can have a "Teacher Library", this could include all tutorials, demos, or other files for free access to paying students. Then, you don't have to update. Students just go to one location and they can access anything they want.

The technology is there to record what a teacher uploads and report it to anyone. If a teacher uploads 5 files, you personally don't have to see it is 5. The computer can handle that.

I will check if we will be able to accommodate that. We get a large number of course requests and there are number of courses out there. Most teachers pre-specify number of tutorials they will provide and we mention that while creating the course.

Its too much work to keep going back and forth editing pages every time a new tutorial is added to courses So, until the feature that all courseware is shown on the course page is available, there is little we can do.

For now, can you let me know how many tutorials would you would ideally like to be there in your course?

That's good, but it is also a good idea to let anyone know there is content. For example, if I made 2 tutorials and 1 video for the course, Wiziq could advertisement class with this information but not actually have the files accessible.

Again, if I were a student and I saw a class description which said, "This course has 2 tutorials currently added and 1 video", I am more likely to sign up for the course than if I don't know. I would want to sign up perhaps to see the content, right?

Currently, I don't see anything mentioned about my content when logged in as just a visitor. Please let possible students know they are there. Then they can pay for a course and sign up to actually download and read.

That's fine, but as a business decision, you should inform us of this before you take our money. If someone made a complaint about this, would you be ready to refund their membership because they didn't know that Asian fonts weren't supported.

It isn't that difficult to include them into flash. You should seriously look into having this available with the next upgrade. I have workarounds, but my students may not like them.

Apologies for the late response. Its been a crazy month at courses - huge growth.

Anyways, I have put in the request to remove the English course. It would be done shortly. All other changes except [2] have been done. For [2] please review your Mandarin Chinese course. If that works, then I will make these changes for the rest of the courses too.

I also did not understand the 3rd point. The content added to the course is visible "after" a student enrolls in the course in the courseware tab after clicking My Courses >> the course enrolled in. Content is not visible or shown on the course page.
