I have Just Installed the Wiziq plugin moodle. ( on Moodle 1.9.2)
When i select the wiziq Activity, i get " file not read error. The system displays the following message. "" Warning: file_get_contents(http://org.wiziq.com/download/633986087194565000.xml) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/www/learn.kststudies.net/mod/wiziq/package_message.php on line 3 XML file is not read""

Well, Preeti tried to assit. The issue has to do with your PHP settings. In my case the hosting company declined to do changes.

Got it. We're not using someone outside; we run our own. That's why I was looking for detailed information about the problem to see if we can get it sorted out. Thank you for the post!

Hi Harpreet,
We suggest you the following:
1. Please check the permissions of the folders where WiZiQ files are installed.
2. Also check the exact path for the same:
• <moodleroot>/mod/wiziq/<then wiziq files> - This is fine • <moodleroot>/mod/wiziq/wiziq/<then wiziq files> - This is wrong
Please feel free to write to us in case of further queries.
Thanks, Preeti

Hi, first time here I've installed Wiziq on Moodle and got the same message. My site is on a remote host. I did change all the permissions and also checked the directories. Please tell what should I do. Thnx.

The PHP module “allow_url_fopen“ should be set to “On” in the php.ini file. Please let us know if you are still facing the issue after making this change.
