It seems that students think I am either Chinese, Japanese, or Korean because I teach these subjects. It clearly states in my teacher profile I am American. However, in the course description, only my name is shown. People cannot click my name to see my profile.
I have offered a student the chance to get a refund because they did not know where I was from. If they want to study Chinese with and English speaker they can sign up for the course again.

But not all students click it. I have endorsed the student's ability to refund their enrollment until the teacher's nationality is appropriately displayed in the course description. That's all.

The course page http://www.wiziq.com/course/2408-mandarin-chinese-for-english-speakers does not have a link for students to click. In addition there is an area at the bottom to introduce the teacher and nothing is mentioned about the nationality.

It's been a few days. I recently sent the following email with requests to courses@wiziq.com
1. The course descriptions do not have my nationality mentioned in them.
2. The description of each course should be shorter with my name and nationality clearly visible without scrolling.
3. I added content to all courses, but when I look at them in a browser not signed in, I don't see any content mentioned. This should be part of each course description. It isn't now.
4. Please remove the English course.
5. I speak English in class, so please remove Chinese from the language of instruction.
6. Remove Korean from the language of instruction for the Korean course. Add English.
7. Change Korean course category to Korean. Right now it is set to "English: Language Learning"
8. Change Japanese course category to Japanese. Right now it is set to "English: Language Learning"
I am getting too many people coming to my classes thinking I teach English. If they learn English while I teach Chinese, Japanese, or Korean that is fine. However, I am not planning any lessons specifically for English.

This reminds me of answering machines back in the 1980's. You leave a message but nobody replies. Hello, Wiziq, are you there? Is there anybody in there (snagging a Pink Floyd quote). Anyway, I have checked my courses, and you haven't changed anything yet. I have emailed. Nothing has happened. Will you please correct the course descriptions? I don't want to fly to India now. So please do something about it. Thank you slowpokes. Over and out.

Apologies for the late response. Its been a crazy month at courses - huge growth.
Anyways, I have put in the request to remove the English course. It would be done shortly. All other changes except [2] have been done. For [2] please review your Mandarin Chinese course. If that works, then I will make these changes for the rest of the courses too.
I also did not understand the 3rd point. The content added to the course is visible "after" a student enrolls in the course in the courseware tab after clicking My Courses >> the course enrolled in. Content is not visible or shown on the course page.

"I also did not understand the 3rd point. The content added to the course is visible "after" a student enrolls in the course"
That's good, but it is also a good idea to let anyone know there is content. For example, if I made 2 tutorials and 1 video for the course, Wiziq could advertisement class with this information but not actually have the files accessible.
Again, if I were a student and I saw a class description which said, "This course has 2 tutorials currently added and 1 video", I am more likely to sign up for the course than if I don't know. I would want to sign up perhaps to see the content, right?
Currently, I don't see anything mentioned about my content when logged in as just a visitor. Please let possible students know they are there. Then they can pay for a course and sign up to actually download and read.
