About
Sangeeta Shah
Sangeeta Shah has been continually exploring and mastering the art of sugar craft and cold porcelain for over 12 years. Having moved extensively to different countries all her life, Sangeeta has now settled in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada with her husband and two children.
She has a passion for teaching and discovering new techniques in sugar artistry. Her portfolio consists of numerous flowers and figurines and sculptures, many of which have brought home awards.
Sangeeta started teaching the art form in the Middle East in the early years following encouragement from one of her instructors. She participated in and demonstrated at various club events for which she gained notice from the local newspapers. In addition to having taught classes, she is currently in the process of developing her own instructional DVD's for various projects. A valued CSSA (Canadian Society Of Sugar Artistry)member and an ICES (International Cake Exploration Societé) member living in Waterloo, Ontario, she avidly participates in various ICES Conventions, and has also been noticed by the local news company in Toronto for her breath taking 'birdhouse' cake for which she was also awarded 1st prize at an annual cake competition hosted by CSSA in 2009.
In 2010, Sangeeta brought home the People's Choice Award for her Indian inspired and magnificently detailed wedding cake at the same annual cake competition.
In addition to satiating her passion for sugar artistry and cold porcelain, she continually keeps herself busy with other forms of arts and craft.
