Dear Super Science Student and Family, My name is Marcy Copeland and I will be your catalyst for your Florida Virtual School Chemistry course. I am as excited as an electron because this class will be a gas. You currently have a requested activation date of June, 2006. Before you can become reactive and begin synthesizing this learning, I will need to make voice-to-voice contact via the phone with you and your parent(s). It is important that both of you be available at the same time for this call as this will become an opportunity for us to begin bonding. The date to initiate this class is June 10th. After we have completed the first element, the "Welcome Call", you begin work in class and move towards earning your credit. I am available to make welcome calls Monday through Friday from 3:30 – 8:00 pm EST and on weekends from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. The rate of reaction for this call is 15 minutes. Get the lead out and find a day/time that you are available to react with me, then send me a reply via email or call me requesting that day/time to schedule your Welcome Call. Don’t be inert, I need to hear from you in the next week. The reactants necessary for success in this chemical reaction are a perseverant student + supportive parents, mixed with humor, periodic communication and a clear vision of the goal.
