Students Working To Advance Technology (SWAT)
|
|
The objectives of the SWAT program are to promote student leadership training while addressing technology competencies, providing outreach to the community through parent involvement, corporate support, and student community service and to encourage national collaboration among student SWAT Teams. The SWAT program’s replication and resource materials address intended learning outcomes, assessment strategies for student understanding, computer competencies and generalized student leadership skills. SWAT Teams can provide valuable research on computer basics as well as new tech trends for school staff, parents, and the community. Students Working to Advance Technology (SWAT) encourage students to use technology and to enhance learning experiences, which typically leads to real-life authentic learning opportunities needed for job skill training, communication skills, and leadership roles. The SWAT program is adaptable for any school and replication materials can provide a time-saving structure to implement the program. Visit www.swatweb.net for more information.
