I am Physician (UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School), and Pharmacy School trained Pharmacologist / Analytical Chemist, Basic Medical Sciences and Intro to Clinical Medicine Teacher and Medical Education Researcher. My multi-facet profession experience, computer skills and current academic work in a Web 2.0 environment makes my undergraduate medical education , teaching style and work innovative, exciting, cutting edge.
I am a medical education content developer. I have designed, developed, written and presently curate a Web 2.0 undergraduate medical education curriculum that is on par with current U.S. medical school education curricula and includes my preparing basic and clinical medicine teaching content / tool. My focus and expertise, and thus point of departure in the courseware, is in Medical Pharmacology and Therapeutics with specialty in Autonomic and Cardiovascular and Introduction to Clinical Medicine. I am formerly Director of Office of Medical Education American International School of Medicine-Georgetown, Guyana. Formerly Associate Professor of Basic Medical Sciences and Campus Curriculum Coordinator International University of Health Sciences-School of Medicine-Saint Kitts, West Indies (only PBL Medical School in the Caribbean at the time) I am also an Expert PBL and Case-Based Learning Tutor / Facilitator with a unique integrated fund of knowledge with USMLE Step 1 level proficiency in the ā4 Pāsā-Physiology, Pathophysiology, Pathology and Pharmacology. Additionally, I established the first BMS Curriculum Driven Introduction to Clinical Medicine-Clinical Skills Center (ICM-CSC) in the West Indies. I am an experienced Medical Web Developer, e-Professor / Online Lecturer and author of several e-articles, e-books, e-magazines (e-Zine), USMLE Tagged Virtual Medical School Courseware.
Presently I work as an Independent Undergraduate Medical Education Consultant and USMLE Tutor.
My undergraduate medical teaching philosophy pivots around horizontal and vertical integration and I am proficient in teaching in both subject-based and systems-based curricula environments.
