About Donna Hughes

Hi, my name is Donna and I have been teaching English as a second language for 15 years. After getting my Teaching certificate in 1997, I began my teaching career in Greece. I only intended to stay for one year but fell in love with the people, the country and their culture and stayed for ten years. I returned to England five years ago and I have been teaching in schools and privately. My specialty is exam preparation but I really enjoy the conversational classes, as it gives me the opportunity to chat to people from very different backgrounds with diverse cultures. In my free time I enjoy doing housework. Yes, Housework! I listen to my favourite music and sing while I clean the house. I also enjoy reading true crime or murder mystery novels but I don’t get much time to read and I prefer to read on a nice warm beach, which we don’t have in the north of England.
