This course is designed for intermediate students of English as a second language. It covers speaking, listening and reading skills. Optional homework will cover writing skills. You will learn English from news articles. You will also:

 

  • talk about topical subjects
  • read about topical subjects
  • enter into debates with other students using the English language
  • learn new vocabulary
  • practice using these new words

 

Each course is a unit in itself – come to all or any of the classes, join at any time during the course. This course will help students develop intermediate English language skills suitable for those taking IELTS or TOEFL.

 

The course package:

 

  • 7 weeks course, One class a week
  • Classes every Tuesday : London time 11 am to 12.30 pm

 

The course outline:

 

  • The topics will be based on recent news in the previous week
  • The classes will be based on the BreakingNewsEnglish.com website and use their lesson plans – the teacher will share her screen so that everyone sees the same content
