English Language Teachers Association of India (ELT@I) provides a platform for teachers of English to meet periodically and discuss problems relating to teaching of English in India. After establishing in 1974, ELT@I continuously help teachers interact with educational administrators, disseminates information in the ELT field, undertake innovative projects aimed at the improvement of learners proficiency and promote professional solidarity among English teachers at primary, secondary and university levels. It also promotes professional excellence among its members in all possible ways. Some of the things it does include:

 

  • To provide a forum for teachers of English to meet periodically and discuss problems relating to the teaching of English in India.
  • To help teachers interact with educational administrators on matters relating to the teaching of English.
  • To disseminate information in the ELT field among teachers of English.
  • To undertake innovative projects aimed at the improvement of learners’ proficiency in English.
  • To promote professional solidarity among teachers of English at primary, secondary and university levels.
  • To promote professional excellence among its members in all possible ways.
