IELTS Academic Training online course outline:
This course would last for a period of 4 weeks with extra sessions provided to students for their individual problem areas. The session timings would be mutually decided by the presenter and the student.
Week 1
The first week comprises of Introductory and base building sessions. With 5 live classes streamlined for the first week you would be able to understand the following:
Live Class 1 would stress on introducing IELTS and the various modules such as Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Listening. This class would also aim at setting up a preliminary Grammar base which includes:
- Initiation of English languages excluding tenses. This can be categorized into:
- Present – Is, Am, Are
- Past – Was, Were
- Possessive Helping Verbs. These include:
- Present - Has, Have
- Past – Had
- Future – Will have
- Compulsion Helping Verbs. These include:
- Present – Has to, Have to
- Past – Had to
- Future – Will have to
- Parts of Speech. This would comprise:
- Noun
- Pronoun
- Adjective
- Verb
- Adverb
Live Class 2 would focus on Grammar building level II. This class includes a detailed practice on 12 tenses and passive voice.
Live Class 3 will be an extension of Grammar building going up to level 3 with emphasis on Modals and Passive, Preposition and Determiners.This class will also be an introduction to the Speaking Module
Live Class 4 would include the following:
- Introduction to the writing task (Essay)
- Structure, vocabulary, philosophies
- Home assignments
Live Class 5 would include the following:
- Introduction to the writing task (Graph)
- Structure and vocabulary
- Line graph, Bar Graph, Pie Chart, Table
- Flowchart and diagram
- Home assignments which comprise of essays and graphs
Week 2
The second week of IELTS preparation course is structured with an intention to focus on Reading and Listening Modules. With 5 live classes, these sessions would comprise primarily the following activities conducted on a regular basis:
- Answers & discussion for reading module
- Answers for listening module
- Essays and graphs
- Assignments
- Speaking
Week 3 & Week 4
The last 2 weeks of the course would emphasize on repetitive practice sessions on the following:
