Most iPhone App Development courses assume a knowledge of Objective C. Not this one. Here we start with Objective C. The course covers the following topics:

• Understanding basics of Objective-C
• Understanding classes and properties
• Understanding how to use XCode
• Creating a simple iPhone Application App
• Understanding UIViewControllers
• Understanding different UI controls such UILabel, UIButton, UITextField etc.
• Understanding IBActions, how events are handled in Objective-C
• Understanding delegates

The course is designed for absolute beginners. However, you must have some knowledge of programming in either C or C++ or Java. This course does not cover UITableView or more such advanced views. This is just a basic course. I will start another course for those advanced controls.

Pre-requisites:

• MAC OSX or later
• Emulators on Windows machine also work

• Class 1 : Use of Xcode, Objects and classes. Use of NSLog
• Class 2 : Use of UIViewControllers, Storyboard and Interface Builder
• Class 3 : Adding labels, buttons and accessing them from code
• Class 4 : Actions for button click and other events. Introduction to UIAlertViews
• Class 5 : Understanding delegates and creating a simple iPhone Application with labels, buttons and text fields
