Course Description

Language of Instruction:English|Category: IELTS

IELTS is recognised by more than 6000 institutions in over 135 countries. Over 1.4 million candidates take the test each year to start their journeys into international education and employment.

IELTS Speaking Module is typically the most difficult section for most candidates, especially if you haven't studied in English before. There are 3 sections in IELTS Speaking Test.

  • Part 1 -> Introduction and Interview: The first section is an Introduction and Interview section. It is a short section and lasts about 4-5 minutes. The examier will ask you questions related to your family, background, profession and interests. You should be able to speak spontaneously and impress the examiner.
  • Part 2-> The Long Turn - Cue Cards Round: In this section you have to speak for 1-2 minutes on a set topic based on information on a card the examiner will give you. You'll be a given a minute to prepare what you want to say - just enough time to jot down some ideas to help give your talk structure and interest. This is similar to Extempore you might have seen at school/ college.
  • Part 3 -> 2-way Discussion: In this section of IELTS speaking, which lasts between 4-5 minutes, the examiner will engage you in a 2-way discussion based on the topic in Part 2. The examiner is likely to ask you questions based on your experience or opinion of the subject.

Most candidates struggle with Part 2 and 3!

By the end of this course which contains a 45 minutes audio-visual discussion, you will learn about IELTS Speaking Module and also get ideas on how to speak on 20 most commonly given Cue Card Topics.

This cue card was asked on May 20, 2011 IELTS Exam to a candidate who took this course.

This Audio-Visual discussion starts with a formal introduction on IELTS. It then proceeds towards the structure of the Speaking Module. Finally, the presenter discusses the IELTS Speaking Structure and discusses 20 Frequently asked Cue-Cards. For every Cue-Card hints, tips and tricks are given.

You can also request for private classes (at additional cost) from the provider once you have reviewed this discussion. You can view the discussion as many times as you want.

This course is designed for IELTS aspirants, especially those who want to further boost their preparation for IELTS Speaking section.
