High in demand by doctors, hospitals and insurance agencies, RN Coders have a promising future!
According to the American Association of Professional Coders, Certified medical coders experienced a 1.5 increase in wages between 2009 and 2010, whereas coders without certification experienced a 1.2 increase. Hence, one benefit of becoming a certified medical coder is financial. In addition, certification also opens the door for medical coders to pursue more challenging positions.
This Course is for licensed clinical personnel i.e. Registered Nurses and Physicians only!
This course is ideal for Registered Nurses and Physicians in the US, Philippines, India and other countries who would like to become Certified RN-Coders. If you are a registrant, you can take nursing education and experience to obtain positions with health care insurers, government agencies, and outsourcing agencies which provide coding and chart review services.
Most courses available on RN are for non-clinical personnel – and you will need to take A&P, medical terminology, etc, even though you are a licensed Nurse! Don't let huge student loans get the best of you. Enroll in the RN-Coder online education instead and save vast amounts of money.
This course will be conducted through 5 recorded classes. To gain your Certificate, you need to attempt and clear a final exam. The certificate includes your continuing education credit for your nursing license.
