Designed to improve your reading skills, this course will cover 5 major areas of reading:

• Phonics,
• Phonemic Awareness,
• Vocabulary,
• Comprehension, and
• Fluency

Classes are targeted at specific weaknesses in reading skills. Step by step, course instructor will work on each weakness and you will improve on the same. Starting from basic consonant sounds to short vowels to long vowels to silent letters, everything will be covered. Also, K-6 level vocabulary words will be covered. This will make you proficient in pronunciation and comprehension.

By the end of the course, you will notice improvement in your comprehension and reading skills.

About the teacher:

Jonathan is a a trained and experienced teacher in the subject areas of Special Education and Music. His training and experience involves teaching students from three (3) years of age to adults (K to 12). He has been teaching Remedial Reading to children, teenagers and adults for more than 6 years. Over these years, he has been very successful in moving many students of various ages from the point of illiteracy to full competence in all areas of Reading.

He is pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education (K-12) from Western Governors University (2010 - present). He has completed his Diploma in General Psychology from Ashworth College (2007 - 2009) as well as a Diploma in Music Education from Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts (1993 - 1996).
