Competitive exams namely TOEIC and IELTS conducted around the globe test the competence of a candidate in English language. Along with checking the vocabulary, candidate’s command over grammatical structures of this global language are also checked. It is not sufficient to only have a theoretical knowledge of the language, you also need to use those structures to build correct sentences. This course covers sentence structures of English language in 5 LIVE interactive online classes.
Course instructor who has 26 years of experience in teaching English calls her strategy of teaching as ‘serious fun’. Serious because you are going to achieve something valuable and fun because you learn it in a fun and interactive environment. Through a set of PPTs, videos, PDF files that will contain live examples you will be able to understand English grammar. The small group size of the course (we will limit the class to less than 5 students), you will also receive personal attention on your needs and learning.

About course instructor:
Teviot Fairservis, popularly known as “Teacher Tevi” (or “Teacher TV” because she uses PowerPoint Presentations, videso, and other multimedia in classes), is a lover of Asian cultures, theatre, dance, and literature. She has 6 years experience in teaching TEFL in Asia in China, Laos, Thailand, Japan. Also she has taught English in USA for 20 plus years. Tevi calls her teaching style as “Serious Fun,” as she finds ways to teach the guiding concepts in ways that make them easy to remember and to use. She has been awarded as “Master Teaching Artist” awards from New York and Connecticut Arts Councils, USA.

- “Fundraising IdeaBook for Small Charities, Clubs, and Teams” — co-writing with Marie Louise Grofski (Australia), many ideas for creating gift items for raffles, auctions, and other special events plus checklists and ‘how-to’s’ for producing fundraising campaigns.
She is also working on these projects:
- “ICT Powerpoints” — writing powerpoints to introduce newbies (kids and adults) to the “Wonderful World of Computers”
- Mural Project: coordinating kids and artists to create a mural of Langkawi island scenes for a new nursery (taska) on the island
- “Langkawi Life:” an irregular column on the website www.langkawi-gazette.com. Sept – Golfing on Langkawi, summarizing articles recently published in Golf + Leisure Magazine. Oct – Island Animal Clinic which saved my kitten. Nov – Charity Club Langkawi’s efforts to raise funds for island children to go to school.
