At the preliminary stage of AIPMT, one has to attempt 200 questions. 100 of these are from Biology section alone.  One only gets 54 seconds to answer each question.

A well-prepared student should be able to answer a biology question within 30-40 seconds. This will give the student ample time for Chemistry and Physics. .

At the mains stage, which is of subjective type, paper 2 is on biology in which you have to write detailed descriptive answers.
