In many countries around the globe, learning English has become an important skill to get better employment opportunities. And that is why there is a lot of scope for trainers who train students whose native language is not English. EFL or English as a foreign language and TESOL or teaching English to speakers of other languages are the terms which are interchangeably used for teachers who teach English to students whose native language is not English. This course is designed for such instructors and will be give you techniques through which English can be taught as a foreign language to the desiring students. The course looks at how to engage students with a topic in the textbook, how to get students to work together, and how to personalise textbook activities. As a EFL/TESOL teacher you will feel confident teaching great lessons, while reducing the time to spend preparing for these classes.

About the instructor:
James Jenkin has been teaching English as a foreign language since 1994, and has managed English language programmes in Vietnam, China and Australia. James' is an accredited Cambridge CELTA tutor since 1998 and an i-to-i classroom TEFL tutor since 2006. He understands the needs, worries and dreams of people entering the world of TEFL. James has a Cambridge CELTA, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Russian and Latvian, and a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics. James Jenkin is currently Academic Director at i-to-i.
