Start with previous week’s riyaz. If you want you can change the order of combinations, but we woujd advice you to start with Om.

Read some musical terms given in the glossary to which you are familiar now like Shuddh swar, Alankar etc. Try to understand their meaning.

Use our Tala Module and listen to tala Dadra. Try to catch the beats. See our glossary to understand terms used. Practice tala for 4-5 times. Make a proper schedule like the concluding day and so forth.

  • Sa Re Ga Ma, Re Ga Ma Pa, Ga Ma Pa Dha, Ma Pa Dha Ni

Today make sure you do riyaz with tala so that you can master tala equally well, which is needed for a good musician. Give 5 minutes to each exercise of the previous weeks.

Listen to the aaroh- avroh of Raga Bhupali carefully try to copy it. Also try aakar.

Listen to the pakad try to understand its meaning as well as importance with help of provided glossary. Concentrate on each note and also on the aakar.

Exercise for Week – 6 :

From this week we are starting learning ragas. Try to understand terms associated with ragas like vadi swar, aaroh- avroh, lakshangeet etc. We are providing the following flow chart which will help you to learn the Raga. Please keep in mind that regular riyaz (which includes om and other exercises) is essential to achieve a certain height in performance hence riyaz of previous notes as well as learning new ones must go on simultaneously. Use our practice tracks as well as take guidance from our experts to proceed in the proper direction. Remember you should practice till you are perfect. Always ask for the feedback.

We are providing different levels to learn ragas. This is according to the traditional Guru-Sishya Parampara. First two levels approximately take 3-5 months to master. Learning more bandishes helps you to understand raga in various stages and increases your interest as well.
