Latin may be called a dead language, but it is still widely used in the process of new word production in many modern languages. About 40-50% of words in the English language are derived from Latin. It is also spoken by many scholars and members of the Christian clergy due to its use for centuries in Roman Catholic Church and in Roman Civilization and Literature. Many schools and universities also continue to teach Latin in a variety of courses. This course will introduce you to Latin composition and will give you an in-depth study of Latin Grammar.
