About the Class

This session will be moderated by Nellie Deutsch who has invited Meri Walker to give participants a quick tour of 7 places that teachers, trainers, coaches and consultants can convert your expertise into cash online – today!

This simple overview is designed to get teachers thinking seriously (and imagining wildly) about new ways they can create direct relationships with global learners who are online looking for just the kind of help you already know how to give them. These sites make it incredibly simple for teachers, trainers, coaches and consultants to get into action in the new global knowledge marketplace and start making more money doing what you love most. Meri is a big fan of simple technologies and systems that make it easy for me to teach. And these sites do just that.

Meri Aaron Walker has spent the last 35 years teaching, training, coaching and consulting in education, business and nonprofit organizations. It would be fair to say that she is truly passionate about teaching and learning with others. After 25 fast-paced years in Austin, Texas, Meri has recently moved to a rural area of southern Oregon where she offers her own courses, tutoring and coaching services online. Her new web-based business, MAW“S TOOLBOX.COM, helps teachers, trainers, coaches and consultants connect with global audiences to create meaningful and lasting relationships using free or very cheap Web 2.0 tools and online interaction strategies. Her new radio show, ”Teaching for a Living, Not Just a Paycheck, features lively interviews with Web2 thought leaders and people successfully using Web2 tools to make a decent living online.
