Cesar Marco
He studied Industrial Design in Escuela de Artes y Oficios in 1982. In 1987 he became a member of the Municipal TV Channel of Puzol (Valencia) after being selecte by the Cinema Jove Festival in its edition. He’s a Specialist in Computer Design, a qualification aquired in Academias Colon in 1990.
In 1992 he started studying Fine Arts, specializing in Sculpture, in Facultad de Bellas Artes de San Carlos, Valencia. In 1997, he was given the Erasmus scholarship by the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia for the realization of studies at the Superior School of Fine Arts of Athens, a place where he remained for six years. He participated in the International Festival of Chesterfield Art, celebrated in Athens. In 1998, he received the Promoe scholarship of the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia for the expansion of his studies and his specialization in marble sculpture, at the same greek school, where he collaborated with the professor Giorgos Paraskevas and the sculptor Ioannis Georgiou for the realization of a monumental statue, situated at the Greek Houses of Parlamient.
In 1999 he received he Leonardo da Vinci scholarship for the realization of his graduation practice in the Restoration Work on the Acropolis of Athens, where he specislized in the use of traditional carving tools, collaborating with Ioannis Arbilias (Gold Medal of the Europa Nostra Foundation). He participated in the I international Symposium of Sculpture which was realized in Ios island (Greece). In 2000 he started his doctoral courses in the Facultad de Bellas Artes San Carlos de Valencia. In Athens he was given the prestigious Foundation Onassis Scholarship in order to carry out a study about “Processes and methos of restoration followed in the Acropolis of Athens” and collaborated with the greek sculptor Theodoros Papayiannis. He was hired by the Greek Ministry of Culture in order to work as a marble technician for the restoration of the Parthenon, where he remained until 2003.
