About Andy Barbiero

Andy Barbiero is a University of Cambridge CELTA qualified English teacher and graduate of the Trinity College London Certificate in International Business English Training (certIBET) presented by Mark Powell.
After graduating from University in Canada with a BA in General Arts majoring in English Literature, Andy became a student of life traveling and working. After many adventures with various jobs, he starting down the path that would lead him to where he is today when he started teaching English to students in a private language school in South Korea. Since then, he has been involved in several projects that include teaching English as a second language in many private language schools, elementary schools, high schools, and multi-national companies in Italy, South Korea and Japan.
Andy enjoys mountain-biking through the trails in Brianza, and participating in his local Toastmasters public speaking club in Milan.
English is the world’s problem-solving language and has become the “Lingua Franca” in Global communication. Andy is the Pearson-Longman Educational Consultant for the Milan-Turin area (Italy)sharing innovative and effective ways to teach English as a second language to teachers through the extensive Pearson-Longman library and exciting teaching programs.

Andy started his own Esol consulting agency called GLOBAL CONSULTING in 2004 and, since then, has earned many loyal student clients from individuals preparing to write the IELTS to CEOs in multinational companies in Milan and everything in between. As a COACH, he doesn't limit himself to just Esol training but has taken on many varied projects that include English Summer camp animator for 2-week periods in the summer (2002-2006) and English language sports commentator/website journalist with audio clips and written articles for Infront Sports and Media focusing on Euroleague basketball and the English version of Gazzetta dello Sport.
He also writes course material and is in the process of writing an Esol coursebook.
Andy is interested in getting involved with anything that promotes the use of English as a global communication tool and open to incorporating innovative methods to accomplish this goal

Thank you Andy for such an informative and interactive class. Keep going. I wish you stopped and clarified some of the phrasal verbs that you used like diving in , walk through even though the class was about reading. Thank you again for this so impressive lesson. Your intonation was exccellent.
