About Pietro Polic

I was born in Rome, Italy, where I spent my youth. From the age of 15 I went to school in England, obtaining my G.C.E.s. Then I started studying law, was articled to a firm of solicitors in London for four years. After that I changed to languages. I am married and have two grown-up children, one working in Advertising and the other one as Software specialist. Now I am happily retired.

I taught in adult education (vocational re-integration) for 25 years, teaching technical English (electronics, information science, business and commercial English) and preparing students for the SEFIC (London Chamber of Commerce) Examinations. For a time I was coordinator for all English teachers at the institute until I gave up this function as it became incompatible with my workload. Now I am a happy pensioner trying to pass on his knowledge to those who wish to acquire and deepen their English knowledge for general purposes or because they need it for their job.
